The post-sv celebrates the 50. Very sporty

The karate department of the post-SV bamberg celebrated its 50th anniversary. Anna schmuck and andreas de sario, the two organizers of the party, had been able to win maria weib, the former kumite world champion (kumite = free fight), and franz fenk, the former kata national coach (kata = form running), as speakers for this event. Over 100 participants from all over bavaria came to the vocational school hall to train with these speakers and celebrate with the post-karateka.
In the morning there were two training sessions, which gave the active participants the opportunity to get a taste of the other special field. Karateka, who normally do more kumite, participated in the kata unit and vice versa. In the afternoon there was a special unit for kata and kumite, which was especially aimed at the squad athletes and those interested in competitions.
After the first training session the official part was on the program: after the burial of the many participants and the presentation of gifts to the speakers, personal words were said. Werner thiele, the chairman of the post-SV bamberg, thanked the department and especially werner sadlauskas, who has been with the department since its beginnings. Also the karateka of the police SV said thanks to sadlauskas. The friendship of the two bamberger karate departments is cultivated since more than 20 years by the common training on sunday mornings, one helps and supports each other in all matters. Sadlauskas helped prepare jurgen and eva fuchs as well as bernd bitterer for their respective dan examinations. The result could be seen: in the summer, national coach karamitsos presented jurgen fuchs in eching am ammersee the 5. DAN and eva fuchs the 4. DAN. Bernd bitterer faced the critical eyes of the federal trainer in ahorn/coburg. He, too, was awarded the certificate of 5. Dan presented. The karate department of the post-SV also thanked sadlauskas and also berthold pfohlmann, who have both been karate instructors for 50 and. For over 40 years the karate department mabgebgeblich and always bring new generations this martial art closer.
The district chairman frank horner presented the club with a certificate for the rare 50th anniversary of the department. Pfohlmann received the silver badge of honor of the bavarian karate association for his achievements and his honorary office of more than 40 years. Sadlauskas was awarded the golden pin of honor. After the competition there was a chinese buffet, the party lasted until late at night.
The next day andreas de sario started at the open state championships of baden-wurttemberg (kumite u45 +80 kg). In the first round he won against the reigning german champion siegfried schmidt from SFB frickenhausen 6:5, a fist bump in the last second secured him the victory. Then he defeated wolfgang selje (PSV heidelberg) clearly with 3:0. In the final against thomas schmidt from KD unterrot he immediately used the fubstobe he had just rehearsed and won the title. This was a successful dress rehearsal for the german championship in bielefeld at the end of october.

Bamberg christmas market opens its doors

Already on thursday noon there was a lot of activity on the maxplatz in bamberg. Some of them already strolled through the rows and looked at the different stands: from honey, to handmade jewelry, to traditional nativity figures – the offer is again colorful this year. The gluhwein and bratwurst stands were also busy at lunchtime.

Eddy weib constantly put sausages on his grill. With his "bratwurst-hausla" right next to the maxbrunnen, it attracted many working people during lunch break time. "The mood is really good", he said, while packing a few sausages into a sandwich.

Already since the beginning of last week, the stands were set up on the maxplatz. Christian lange, second mayor of bamberg, also observed this from his office. Since the mayor of bamberg, andreas stark, is ill, he and the new bamberg christ child, laura haag, took over the official opening on thursday evening. But he is happy to do so: "what could be better than looking at the many expectant faces at the opening of the christmas market??" He was musically supported by the brass band don bosco and the school choir of the rupprecht school.

Court idyll and ultrasound

Tuesday afternoon, half past two, in grobziegenfeld. The scent of lavender drifts from the farm garden across the yard, snowy ducks take a nap in the shade of a tractor. The warm sun makes the wheat field on the edge of the court glow golden.
A sow grunts her comment, as if in approval, to henrik gieger's statement: "she's a real trooper." In the middle of the farm idyll, the young man in the female protective suit and with the ultrasound device, the so-called pregtone, in his hand, it's all about the whole thing: he takes the practical final exam to become a farmer.
This year, a total of 45 youngsters will be tested by the coburg office for agriculture, food and forestry on five days. 28 pruflinge are graduates of the coburg vocational school and have undergone a classic dual training program. 17 are graduates of the farmer training program at the bamberg office for food, agriculture and forestry – career changers who already have an auberschulische education and have acquired the essential content in the evening or in block courses over three years.
The theoretical part, the written examination, will take place next week. Then knowledge in economics and social studies is tested. Henrik gieger from klosterlangheim is one of eight trainee farmers taking part in the practical part of the final examination on the piglet breeding farm of the schwarzmann family in the award-winning juradorf village.
"The graduates can choose whether they want to be tested on cattle or pigs", explains thomas schwarzmann, landlord, prufer and expert advisor at the office for agriculture, food and forestry in bayreuth in personal union. "An apprentice has chosen a chicken farm as a training company", adds vocational school teacher tanja schilling. She is rooting for her proteges in grobziegenfeld. In two sections, divided into morning and afternoon, the graduates have to answer questions from two auditors each.

Modern farms

As romantic as village life may seem at first glance, most farms today are modern businesses that keep up with the times and face up to technical and economic challenges. To run a farm like this, farmers need technical know-how as well as expertise in crop and animal production – a broad-based knowledge that the pruflinge in grobziegenfeld have to demonstrate. Excitement is part and parcel of exams. But the man from klosterlangheim seems self-confident. "Of course, there are subject areas that suit you more than others", he admits critically, but remains confident. The 19-year-old and his colleagues answer questions about livestock breeding: how do they assess a group of piglets in terms of their fattening characteristics?? What is the purchase price? What is the documentation for the use of medicines and a change in stock?? How to calculate a mixture with the available feed for the same group of piglets? And they solve tasks on crop production: prepare all the work for sowing suitable winter barley in the trial farm on a flat of 2.5 hectares. Calculate the manure requirement for this area of barley. Assess the existing barley crop on the farm. They also have to answer questions on the operational safety and technical adjustment of agricultural machinery. "To ensure equal opportunities, because not all training companies have the same machines, the trainees can take a look around their training company beforehand and familiarize themselves with everything", explains thomas schwarzmann.

Prospective farmers need to be familiar with all aspects of the job, even if they go on to specialize later in their careers. Like henrik gieger. He completed his training on a pig fattening farm, while his parents' farm is used for agriculture. So he becomes a farmer because it is expected from home? "Rather not", says the klosterlangheimer with a smile. His parents had also supported it, he had learned another profession.
But he has grown into agriculture, he admits critically. For him, the test is not the end of the road. "I want to become a technician." And it sounds almost blackmerian when he says that hardly any other profession is so varied. It varies with the seasons. "You are in nature and always have something to do." And as if in approval, the sows don't grunt now, but the haflingers max and moritz snort, who could almost look over the shoulder of the klosterlangheimer during the final examination talk in the barn.

A great celebration for the seniors from staffelstein

A great celebration for the seniors from staffelstein

"Everyone who invites is happy when everyone comes and there’s a full house", senior citizen representative walter mackert buried the over 65s from around the city.

To the now 24. For the first time, the town of bad staffelstein had invited its elderly citizens to the adamriese hall, where they were entertained and shown various performances. With two bus lines serving more than 25 stops in all parts of the town and city, the organizers made sure that even those who are no longer so mobile could join in the celebrations.

Over coffee and baked goods, seniors enjoyed performances by alice goraus’ new ballet school. The girls thrilled the audience with lively rock ‘n’ roll and classical ballet. In the meantime, the organizers and many helpers made sure that the guests wanted for nothing. With coffee pots, city councilors went from table to table, bringing members of "group 60" to the table, the women’s association, the women’s union, the team of the TSV and many helpers of the town also served wine, beer and finally oven-fresh liver cheese on the tables. The motherhouse of fourteen saints was also represented by a large delegation, and father dominic spontaneously received a special round of applause at the funeral.

Traffic figures in the bad kissingen district: fewer accidents, more fatalities

Although there were not quite as many crashes in the county in 2018 as in the previous year, the number of accidents remains at a high level. 3475 accidents recorded by police stations in bad kissingen, hammelburg and bad bruckenau, as well as by the werneck highway patrol. This is the second highest figure in the last ten years.

Eight people lost their lives, two more than in 2017. Five died in accidents on country roads and three on highways. Within the county, the fatal accidents occurred in the old counties of bad kissingen and bad bruckenau. "While in the last ten years there have been up to three traffic fatalities in the area served by the hammelburg police, a very pleasing zero can be reported for 2018", at least hammelburg’s head of department alfons hausmann has reason to rejoice. The number of people injured in urban and rural areas increased slightly from 454 to 467 people. Because fewer people were injured on the highways at the same time, the total number of people injured remained almost unchanged at 528 (2017: 529).

The fact that more people are injured on country roads at the same time as the number of accidents is falling "seems to be a continuing trend in lower franconia", says lothar manger, responsible for traffic at the bad kissingen police department. Statistically, more people are injured in one crash than another. Manger does not believe that the high popularity of coarse-engined and powerful new cars is a reason for it. "Safety equipment in these cars is also increasing", he argues. It is difficult to explain the trend. However, it is noticeable that there were fewer minor accidents last year. Minor accidents are accidents in which no one is injured or killed and in which the driver can be accused of no or only minor misconduct. "For example, we had far fewer accidents on wet roads," says lothar manger, he says.

New principal wants diversity

"As soon as we are allowed to go to school without a mask, we will make the official ceremony", mayor regina wohlpart and the new principal of viereth-trunstadt elementary school, karin divers-trapp, had agreed in september. But since the regulations have been tightened up since then, wohlpart didn’t want to postpone the gesture any longer.

On the nationwide reading day, she took the opportunity to congratulate karin divers-trapp on her new position and then read to the fourth graders from alex ruhle’s "zippel, das wirklich wahre schlossgespenst" (zippel, the really true ghost of the castle) read aloud.

In doing so, the principal met the principal’ wish for a colorful, lively school: "under the given circumstances, we want to be open to offers that go beyond the curriculum and complement it, explains divers-trapp. The new principal is particularly pleased that the cultural challenge for the children is already firmly established at the school, with author readings, theater performances, art events and other activities. She herself leads her third class as a keyboard class with an additional music lesson and fourteen keyboards in the classroom.

Exhibition in the euerdorf museum unites many projects

Exhibition in the euerdorf museum unites many projects

A successful start was the vernissage for the project "art goes abroad … And confesses color" in the euerdorf museum "terra triassica. The institution received from the museums of the city of aschaffenburg a colored paper sample book, which can be seen in the context of a special and accompanying exhibitions, and at the same time lent a pebble to the museum "obere saline" in bad kissingen.

Mayor peter bergel was particularly pleased that the project has already been running successfully for ten years. A total of 16 museums in lower franconia took part in this action over a period of 22 days. July to 8. November this year. With the motto "show your colors peter bergel is connected with much more – showing attitude, standing by a cause, standing by an opinion.

From the colored paper pattern book, he spanned the arc to the limestones of the triassic period. Limestones were used as printing templates for the oldest flat printing process, lithography. Until 1930, lithography was one of the most common techniques for printing on paper. Museum director martina wilm-kiesel led a tour of the exhibition.

4000 Euros for the school

The three-mountain school in knetzgau is delighted to receive a donation of 4000 euros. The school's forderverein has provided a sum of 2000 euros, made up of annual membership fees and donations from companies. The parents' council also donated 2000 euro. This money comes from the proceeds of various school events.

For the school management, the size of the sum in advance was important, as principal antje schorn said. The students in the fifth through ninth grades were able to work with teachers anna farmand and teresa lang to select furniture for sitting and chilling across the classes, but also to manage the given financial budget. The young people had previously measured the space where the furniture is now located in the middle school area and obtained information about prices from the companies themselves. The school management felt that it was important for the young people to act largely on their own so that they could identify with the equipment they had chosen. The donation was handed over to antje schorn by the chairmen anja keller (forderverein) and sandra rebmann (parents' council).

The hallstadt burgers benefit

The hallstadt burgers benefit

What probably benefits all hallstadtern equally in the 48.7-million-budget decided for this year and they feel directly in the wallet, that is the unchanged water prices of 1.80 euros per cubic meter. In order to cover costs, the purchase price actually had to be raised to 1.85 and further thereafter. However, due to the inconvenience to the citizens because of the repeated drinking water contamination and boiling regulations 2018, the city council comes to meet them in this way.

Following intensive preliminary discussions at the beginning of the month, the committee has now approved the budget, incorporating a number of motions from the three parliamentary groups. Praise from all sides went to the administration, which had many projects to work on last year and will be busy again this year.

Investments of over 20 million euros

Mayor thomas soder (CSU) commented on the budget that this year’s volume is similar to that of the previous year, whereas second mayor ludwig wolf (BBL) added the word "record" to the term "budget" erganized. He also did the same for the investments of over 20 million euros mentioned by soder.

The night of metals at akg

The night of metals at akg

It all started with the casting of simple pewter figures and a few interested students at the armin knab high school in kitzingen (AKG). As a result, the school laboratory "gituma" which stands for casting technology and metal processing. On thursday evening, the laboratory celebrated its tenth anniversary with a festive event and the "night of metals, in which interested visitors, an estimated 400 were on the road, were able to find out about gituma’s work in the house.

The focus of this work is on casting technology, which also includes model production via CAD design, the output of the models in 3D printing processes. The casting results must of course be tested for quality, which can be done with different procedures in the school. For this purpose, rontgen spectroscopy is available for the material itself, and various microscopic methods are available for the surfaces, as are post-treatment options such as polishing or electroplating.

All this could be marveled at during the tour of the house on thursday. An aluminum-silicon mixture boiled in the open air until it reached a temperature of 800 degrees, ready for casting. Besides, sand was compacted in molds to be able to cast at the end of the evening. And in the house itself the different laboratories were open, so that insight into the work of the school laboratory could be taken.
