
When mathias fussel from the tiepner company stands at his traffic lights near seidenhof, he doesn't let himself get ruffled. Whether it's the stinky finger or the insults from drivers as they pass by – every comment leaves him cold. "If someone shows me the finger again, then I just laugh. I am just doing my job", he says.
Every day from 7 a.M. To 7 p.M. The traffic lights at the road B 289 are controlled manually. This means that a member of the company's rental team is standing at the switchgear and independently assessing the situation. "Traffic jams in both directions. You can't get rid of the cars with normal switches, you have to switch through manually", fussel explains his task. He has been a "traffic light switch" for eight years already. "This is not an apprenticeship, but one is instructed. But it takes half a year to get it all done", tells mathias fussel and shows how the circuit works. Although fussel is only thirty years old, he has learned not to let himself be provoked and simply accepts the impatience of some drivers. "My colleague, who was there on the first day, has also heard a lot", tells fuss. "I can understand that some are angry, but they also get a new strabe. That is also good", says fussel.

The rehabilitation of the 400-meter stretch was divided into three construction phases.
In the first two days, the entire right side of the road from kulmbach in the direction of mainleus will be rehabilitated. In a second section, the rear part of the opposite side of the road will be tackled – right up to the middle of the intersection, where the industrial area meets the federal highway. And in a third section, the part from the mouth of the commercial area in the direction of kulmbach is next in line.
